The Matrescence Journals Series
You are not starting over. You are gathering yourself with clarity, compassion, grace, and honesty.
These four 28-day guided journals to help you move through the emotional, psychological, and spiritual transformation of motherhood, called matrescence. Created by Dr. Eva Benmeleh, licensed clinical psychologist and maternal mental health specialist. The Matrescence Journal Series was created because most women move through the transformation of motherhood completely alone.
Matrescence is one of the most significant identity shifts of a woman’s life and one of the least supported. Dr. Eva has spent years helping mothers navigate it in her clinical practice, research, workshops, and now in these four guided journals.
Every journal in the series is built on the PIE Method, Perceive, Integrate, Embody, a framework Dr. Eva developed to help women acknowledge their emotional landscape, its origins, and live differently. Each journal also includes 28 daily mantras, embodiment practices, guided reflections, and access to exclusive guided meditations. Each journal is a complete, standalone 28-day experience. Start where you are.
–> Feeling lost or disconnected from yourself? Begin with Rediscovering Me.
–> Struggling with your body or self-worth? Begin with Reclaiming Me.
–> Overwhelmed, resentful, stretched thin? Begin with Balancing Me.
–> Emotionally overloaded or holding everything in? Begin with Embracing Me.
By the end of 28 days, you will:
- Rediscovering Me — Have a clearer, more grounded sense of who you are beyond motherhood, feel reconnected to your passions that felt buried or distant, have a vision for life that honors the mother and woman within you, and move through your days with more intention and less angst of losing yourself.
- Reclaiming Me — Feel more connected to your body with less self-judgment, cultivate deeper self-love, develop long-term doable self-care practices nourishing body, mind, and spirit
- Balancing Me — Recognize where guilt drives your actions and change it, feel more confident saying no without looping in shame, have clearer and more realistic boundaries that hold, and learn to give and receive
- Embracing Me — Process suppressed emotions, improve your emotional regulation, personalize mindfulness techniques, and experience genuine joy, presence, and inner peace.
Ready to go deeper?
For many women, the journals are where this work begins. Some choose to explore it more fully, through Dr. Eva’s ongoing 1:1 support. If you’re ready for that level of work, you can learn more here.

Rediscovering Me: A 28-Day Journey to Reclaim Your Identity Beyond Motherhood
You were someone before you became a mother. She is still here.
This is all about evolution. In the midst of caring, giving, tending, and managing, many mothers wonder:
“Will I always be last on my own list?
“What happened to my dreams, passions, and ambitions? And is it wrong that I miss them?
“How do I balance who I am as a mother with the rest of me?”
These aren’t signs that something is wrong with you. They are signs that you’re in the middle of one of the most profound transformations a woman can move through, and that you need more than that just to survive it.
Rediscovering Me is a 28-day guided journal that helps you reconnect with yourself, reclaim your sense of purpose, and step into the fullest expression of who you are becoming, not compare yourself to who you once were.
Inside the journal: Using Dr. Eva’s PIE Method, a 3-step framework developed to help you understand what you feel, where it comes from, and how to live differently because of it. Each week guides you through a different layer of identity.
Week 1: Remembering Who You Are: Honor your past self and reconnect with your essence
Week 2: Embrace Who You Are Now: Meeting yourself in this season without judgment
Week 3: Reawakening Your Passions: The parts of you that still want to be expressed
Week 4: Design a Life That Honors All of You: Not the mother or the woman- both.
You will also receive 28 daily mantras, embodiment practices, guided reflections, and access to an exclusive guided meditation.

Reclaiming Me: A 28-Day Body Image & Self-Love Journal for Moms
Your body is not something to fix. It is something to honor.
What if acceptance wasn’t the finish line, but the starting point?
The desire to feel like yourself again often rises in the background of motherhood. It’s a longing for ease, confidence, sensuality, and a sense of wholeness to love your essence as much as the body that carries it. You track the changes. You feel the cultural pressure to “bounce back.” You catch your reflection, and something feels off, sometimes off-putting. Then, you judge yourself immediately for even caring about something that you shrug off as frivolous or vain.
“Why do I care so much about my body when I should just be grateful?”
“Why does this feel so hard when motherhood is supposed to be amazing?”
“Am I self-centered for wanting to get my body back in shape if it takes time away from my family?
For mothers who have navigated fertility treatments, pregnancy loss, or pre-existing struggles with body image, weight, and self-worth, this tension runs even deeper. The body that feels unfamiliar is the same body that carried you through one of the most sacred transformations of your life.
Reclaiming Me is a 28-day guided journal that helps you release self-judgment, quiet the inner critic, and build a relationship with your body rooted in compassion.
Inside the journal: Guided by the PIE Method, each week supports a different layer of healing:
Week 1: Noticing the thoughts, emotions, and beliefs shaping how you see yourself
Week 2: Exploring the origins of those beliefs, culture, childhood, identity shifts, pregnancy, and birth
Week 3: Practicing self-compassion as a daily skillset, not a concept
Week 4: Embodying self-respect, until caring for yourself feels like the obvious first choice.
You will also receive 28 daily mantras carefully crafted to gently rewire self-criticism into self-respect, guided meditations, reflective prompts, and holistic wellness practices.

Balancing Me: A 28-Day Journal for Overcoming Mom Guilt & Setting Boundaries
You give everything to everyone. This journal is for you.
It’s not about doing less or not caring at all. It’s about learning what is yours to carry and needs to be put down.
Motherhood teaches us to give endlessly, but does it teach us how to stop?
You say yes when you mean no. You take on more than is yours to carry. And when resentment creeps in, guilt follows for feeling resentful in the first place. So, you push through, give more, and call this love.
If you notice resentment, guilt, or constant exhaustion, something inside you is being stretched too far, too thin. You never learned a way through this, where love doesn’t have to feel this heavy.
Balancing Me is a 28-day guided journal that helps you understand where your guilt runs the show, where your limits are breaking down, and how to start making choices that reflect what you actually need, without looping into shame or not feeling good enough that typically follows.
Inside the journal: Using the PIE Method, each week guides you through a different layer of this experience:
Week 1: Understanding Mom Guilt: Notice where it shows up and release what does not belong to you
Week 2: Saying No Without Guilt: Practice small boundaries and learn to keep them
Week 3: Releasing the Pressure to be Perfect: Reframe what a good mother actually means
Week 4: Prioritize Self-Care Without Guilt: Find realistic ways to care for yourself while caring for everyone else
You will also receive 28 daily mantras, practical exercises, calming reflections, guided prompts, and access to an exclusive guided meditation, all designed to help you bring your feelings and actions back into alignment.
A mother who is running on empty can’t pour from an empty vessel. You deserve balance.

You’ve been holding so much. Your emotions are your guide home.
What you suppress doesn’t disappear. It settles, and it waits for its exit point.
The pressure to be the “perfect mom” while managing your own inner world is real, and it is heavy. So most moms do what feels safest, push it down, keep going, forget it’s even there. But anxiety, overwhelm, loneliness, grief, and irritation don’t disappear when you ignore them. They settle beneath the surface and shape absolutely every part of your daily life.
What if instead of managing your emotions, you moved through them?
Embracing Me is a 28-day guided journal that gives you the space to finally feel through what you’ve been holding, and a structured, compassionate path to move through it.
Inside the journal: Guided by the PIE Method, notice what you feel, understand the message, and respond with clarity and compassion. Each week takes you through a different phase of emotional healing:
Week 1: Allowing Yourself to Feel: Acknowledge and understand suppressed emotions
